Howdy! My name is Allison.I have been working with and training dogs since young childhood. I found a true passion for it as I got older and began to help friends and family with behavior issues in their dogs. I have almost two decades of experience under my belt as a canine trainer and almost a decade experience as a service dog trainer and as a disabled handler. However, I also have a passion for horses and have done some years of barn hand work and volunteer stable hand.My main focus and love with dogs is taking a "bad dog" and showing the potential it has. Behavior modification has always been something I've wanted to do for others since I lost my childhood dog due to rage syndrome. Even though my main focus is behavior modification, I love helping new puppy owners give their puppy a great first start in obedience and manners to grow into a well-rounded adult dog with advanced obedience and maybe some fun tricks as well!I've spent a good majority of my life being a personal caregiver for a family member until I branched out into my own life as of recent years. I have experience working with and caring for the disabled and have a passion for helping and increasing their independence. That's why I've decided to partner with Taylor and create Valhalla K9.I have many different disabilities. I suffer from anxiety disorders, panic disorders, depression, cerebral palsy, balance issues and more. Though not easy, but I get by with my service dog and Taylor helping me. I trained my first service dog not knowing how extensive the training was going to be and jumping in pretty blind. My current boy, Remi, is going to eventually debut as a demo dog at most of basic/advanced obedience dog sessions y'all will attend. I look forward to meeting you and helping you and your pup/dog succeed!

Hi! My name is Taylor.I have worked with and owned dogs for basically my whole life. I've been professionally training dogs for a decade in basic to advanced obedience for pet dogs. My main focus is behavior modification- dogs that suffer from reactivity (aggressive, fear related or excitement based). And I've been training service dogs for the last five years. Before we meet in person, I would like for you all out there to know a little bit about me. I am a former first responder (Corrections) and come from a military family. I have a 5 year old service dog named Percy, who was trained by me and the help of my dog training partner. I believe in the basics principles of discipline- honesty, hard work and GRIT.I suffer from C-PTSD, ADHD, Depression, Hearing Loss and Selective Mutism. I garnered most of these from my previous line of work and challenge myself daily to not allow my disabilities to stop living my life. It is a hard road to walk on, but with Percy and Allie beside me, life is easier. Now you may be wondering, what does this have to do with dog training? I will tell you! As a child I have always loved animals and grew up watching animal rescue shows. I enjoyed watching abandoned animals find homes. However as I got older I noticed a disturbing pattern. Shelters do NOT properly behavior assess the dogs that come in nor do they try to help the dogs that "fail" their test into becoming a well rounded, stable and happy dog. They just toss them aside.I believe that every dog should have the chance to become a good behaved companion for the right family. In order to do that, giving that dog a quality of life, begins at the basics and teaching it how to manage its issues and reworking the behavior. I am willing to work with any dog of any case to try and give it it's best life as long as you, the owner, are willing to meet me half way and put the work into the dog.
